Raise Days: Delivering our message to the companies

Thursday, September 5, 2019

Our national Raise Days actions for gig workers rights kick off Thursday September 5, 2019, when we’ll deliver messages from 10,000+ gig workers across the country to corporate offices of Instacart, Postmates, and DoorDash in San Francisco and the Seattle area

And we’ve already gotten a head start, making news already by raising up what workers need — check it out! Here’s the details of how you can join us Thursday to kick off Raise Days!

11:00am in Bellevue, WA

Gig workers will gather at 11:00 at Bellevue Downtown Park, then head to the nearby Postmates Engineering Office with a special delivery: bags spelling “PAY UP” filled with peanuts — because that’s that these gig apps are paying workers. We’ll also share messages on peanut-shaped paper from workers across the country.

Meet up at the fountain on the NE 4th Street side of Downtown Bellevue Park (marked here in red), between 100th Ave NE and Bellevue Way NE. Then we’ll head to Lincoln Square (NE 4th Street entrance)

2:00 pm in San Francisco, CA

We’ll be paying a visit to the corporate headquarters of three major gig companies: Instacart, Postmates, and DoorDash. At each location, we’ll be making a special delivery: bags spelling “PAY UP” filled with peanuts — because that’s that these gig apps are paying workers. We’ll also share messages on peanut-shaped paper from workers across the country.

2:00pm: Instacart Corporate HQ (50 Beale St)

3:30pm: Postmates Corporate HQ (201 Third St)

4:30 pm: DoorDash Corporate HQ (901 Market St)

Not in the Seattle or San Francisco area?

Join our live online speakout with elected officials at 11am Pacific / 2pm Eastern on Friday September 6th.
